Terms of use

These terms govern the Mubarik app and website provided by Mubarik Inc. By creating an account you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and the community rules. If you do not, please do not use Mubarik.

Who can join

You must be 18 or over, legally able to marry, and using the app to seek marriage for yourself or, as a family account, to support one person who is. One account each. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

How you must behave

Our community rules form part of these terms. In short: be honest about who you are, come here to marry, treat people properly, and respect what is private. Breaking them can cost you your account.

Your content

Your photos and words remain yours. You give us permission to host and display them as needed to run the service, and nothing more. That permission ends when you delete them, except where we are required to keep a record.

You must have the right to post whatever you upload, and profile photos must accurately represent the account holder. Do not impersonate another person, post unlawful content or infringe anyone’s rights.

Family accounts

A family account exists only to support one member's search. It cannot like, match or message on their behalf, and it cannot read their private conversations. The member controls its access and can end it at any time. Ending the link removes access to the member’s shared activity. Family accounts have their own deletion option. Unlinking removes shared access; it does not delete the other person’s separate account.

Purchases

Premium is a recurring subscription that renews until cancelled. Compliments and Boosts are one-off purchases. All of it is billed by Apple or Google under their terms, using the payment method on your store account.

Cancel from your device, at least 24 hours before the next renewal. Deleting your Mubarik account does not cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its policy.

Unused Compliments and Boosts have no cash value. Refund eligibility is determined by the relevant store’s rules and applicable consumer law; nothing in these terms excludes mandatory refund rights.

What we do not promise

We cannot promise you will meet anyone, and we do not conduct background checks. Take the same care you would meeting anyone new: meet in public, tell someone where you are going, and do not send money to people you have not met.

The service is provided as it is. We aim to keep it running and safe, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or free of faults.

Ending things

You may delete your account whenever you like. We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or the community rules, and for serious breaches we do so immediately, subject to applicable law and store refund rules.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Beyond that, our liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Mubarik afterwards means you accept the new version.

Law

Applicable Canadian law governs these terms, without excluding mandatory consumer protections or court access available where you live.

App licence and store terms

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive licence to use the app in accordance with these terms and the applicable store’s usage rules. The app, branding and service software remain owned by Mubarik or its licensors. For the iOS app, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies unless a custom EULA is provided through the App Store. Apple is not the provider of Mubarik’s marriage service. These terms do not replace applicable store purchase rules.

Support and complaints

Report objectionable content or block a member through the app. You can also contact help@mubarik.app about safety concerns, content rights, account decisions or a complaint. Do not use the app for unlawful sexual content, child exploitation, threats, harassment, fraud or discrimination. We may investigate and remove content or restrict accounts under our community rules.
